Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has appointed Major General Bala A. Isandu (rtd) as Special Adviser on Security in a strategic move aimed at strengthening the state’s security architecture.

According to Ireporter Online, the appointment takes immediate effect and was officially announced by the Plateau State Government on Wednesday as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce security coordination across the state.

Before his new role, Isandu served as Senior Special Assistant on Intelligence to the Minister of Defence and previously held a senior position as Director at the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA).

The government noted that the appointment is part of a wider restructuring plan designed to improve the protection of lives and property, enhance intelligence gathering, and boost security around schools and other vulnerable areas within the state.
