2027: “I’m Worried” — Joe Igbokwe Warns Those Challenging Tinubu

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Joe Igbokwe has expressed concern about opposition politicians seeking to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

According to reports, Igbokwe issued the warning in a post on his official Facebook page on Monday, urging opposition candidates not to underestimate Tinubu’s political strength and support base.

The APC chieftain said he was particularly concerned about those challenging the President, arguing that they may be underestimating the level of support behind Tinubu.

“I am worried about those who are challenging PBAT. They are underrating his capacity, the grace of God following him and the unlimited followers,” Igbokwe wrote.

He further claimed that if Tinubu’s supporters turn out in large numbers on election day, the contest could effectively be decided by midday.

“If all Tinubu’s supporters move to vote that day, I can tell you that by 12 noon it will be over. PBAT is an enigma. If you know, you know,” he added.

Meanwhile, Edo State Commissioner for Information, Kassim Afegbua, has described the 2027 presidential contest as a three-horse race involving Tinubu, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi.

Afegbua made the assessment while discussing the chances of major contenders during an interview on the Naija Unfiltered Podcast.

According to him, Tinubu would emerge victorious in the election, with Atiku finishing second and Obi coming third.

“It’s a three-horse race, please. Don’t bug me with the needless distraction of Seyi Makinde,” Afegbua said, while also questioning the chances of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who is seeking the presidency on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

The comments come as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with major political figures and parties already positioning themselves for the contest.
