2023: Agom-Eze Speaks On Stepping Down For Umahi
Ebonyi State All Progressives Congress (APC) senate aspirant, Mrs. Ann Agom-Eze, yesterday, in Abakaliki, told The Guardian that she never accepted any gift from Governor David Umahi to step down for him, insisting she remains the candidate for Ebonyi South.
It has been rumoured that Agom-Eze had collected N40 million Toyota Prado Jeep, house, cash and landed property to step down for Umahi, but the candidate denied the rumour, describing it as baseless, unfounded and diversionary.

Her claim came after a Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki had ordered for a rerun primary for Ebonyi South Zone with Mrs. Agom-Eze included in the list of contestants.
The judgement followed a suit by Umahi, through his counsel, Roy Nweze Umahi, who had dragged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to the Federal High Court in Abakaliki.
