17 Arrested For Allegedly Running Illegal Bureau De Change Operation

On May 8, 2024, authorities apprehended 17 individuals suspected of engaging in unauthorized Bureau de Change activities in the Wapa area of Fagge Local Government Area. Of the 29 individuals initially detained, 12 were subsequently cleared. Seized during the operation were 68,000 CFA and 30 Indian Rupees. According to Gumel, all suspects confessed to the offense and are slated for court proceedings.
