2023: Sam Aiboni Encourages Youths To Participate In The Entire Electoral Process
Sam Aiboni, a PDP frontline contestant for the National Assembly’s Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, has urged youths to actively participate in the electoral process in order to take control of our party’s policies and governance.
Sam, a qualified negotiator and mediator, stated this in an interview with Arise TV.
Refuting the myth that youths aren’t interested in politics, Sam stated that while young people have always been involved, they should become more active by joining political parties.
Sam called for more engagement in party politics as the only sure path to climb the steps to leadership, noting that youths have always played a key role in bringing all previous governments to power.
“The truth is that we now have a party democracy in Nigeria, and you cannot get into office or hold a leadership position unless you are a member of a political party.
Therefore, I believe that the focus for the youths who want to make a difference should be on joining political parties and building them up.
Because political parties provide the foundation for getting on the ballot, the youths must become more involved in the political process, as this is the only route for them to rise to positions of leadership.
As a result, the youths should progress from “I have a voters card” to “I am a member of a political party.” he further stated.
According to Sam Aiboni, they should begin at the local government and state levels, where the government can have the greatest impact on the people.
Calling on young people to take advantage of the recently approved Not Too Young to Rule bill, which will help them overcome any restrictions that have previously been a barrier for them to overcome.
Sam recognized the high cost of the political process and the need for young people to blend into the system in order to follow the natural pattern.
Sam urged the youths to begin participating in politics today by joining political parties. He used the #ENDSARS struggle as an example, insisting the youths unite in unity and apply it in the electoral process.
Politics, he believes, is not as filthy as politicians have made it out to be.
Sam focuses on corporate finance, capital markets, energy and natural resources, mergers and acquisitions, and project finance for major organizations. He is a qualified negotiator and mediator with extensive knowledge of legal and contracting needs in significant projects.
