The supporters voiced their plea during a meeting with the Secretary of Abia Warriors, Mr. Francis Nwaubani.

Citing the recent special rehabilitation of the Umuahia Township Stadium’s football pitch to enhance its quality, the fans argued that the team should now return to playing in the Abia State capital.

They emphasized that the natural playing surface of the Umuahia Township Stadium should be favored, especially considering the improved condition of the pitch.

Expressing their concerns, supporters including Kalu Sammy, Nduka Divine, and Eme Mba John, highlighted the challenges fans face when matches are played away from the team’s home ground. They cited economic constraints that limit regular travel away from Umuahia.
