Academic Crisis: Thousands Of Students Face Uncertainty Over Unpaid NELFUND Loans
As tuition deadlines and examinations draw closer, students from at least 23 public universities and polytechnics have expressed frustration over delayed disbursement of their approved institutional loans under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND)……..READ MORE
Despite the initiative’s goal of easing financial burdens, many students—verified since mid-2024—are yet to receive their funds, leaving them stranded as school portals close.
A NELFUND official, speaking anonymously, attributed the delays to some institutions’ slow response in verifying student details.
With exams fast approaching, affected students are calling on the government for urgent intervention.
