ADC Submits Atiku, Amaechi’s Names And Details To INEC Portal

According to Ireporter Online, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially uploaded the names and particulars of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal ahead of the 2027 general election.

The party explained that the submission forms part of the statutory requirements ahead of the polls, designed to ensure that political parties formally present their candidates’ details within the timeline set by the electoral body.

In a post shared on his verified handle, the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, confirmed the development, noting that the party had taken a significant step in its preparation for the 2027 elections following the successful upload of its presidential ticket details.

Abdullahi stated that the move reflects the party’s commitment to offering Nigerians what he described as a credible alternative anchored on competence, unity, and national renewal.

In a related development, Rotimi Amaechi has alleged that Nigerian politicians often resort to stealing result sheets during elections, a practice he claimed endangers the lives of ad-hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Amaechi made the remarks while addressing a group of youths in a video circulating online, where he advised them on electoral participation and voter protection.

He further cautioned against allowing young Nigerians to serve as INEC ad-hoc staff, alleging that they are often exposed to political manipulation and risk during elections.

The former Rivers State governor urged citizens to ensure that votes are properly counted at polling units and transmitted through the INEC portal, stressing the importance of electoral transparency in strengthening Nigeria’s democracy.
