The funeral service took place at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Isiokpo, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

During the service, Fubara addressed the political class in attendance, questioning the purpose of their struggles and urging reflection on their impact on society. In response, Akpabio challenged Fubara’s stance, suggesting that if the political struggle held no significance for him, he should reconsider his involvement.

“We’re not going to cry in one day alone, we’ll cry so many days,” Akpabio expressed, highlighting Wigwe’s influence and philanthropy. He emphasized the need for introspection among politicians regarding the essence of their endeavors.
