Algiers-Abuja Direct Flights To Commence On April 6

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the commencement of Air Algérie’s direct flight service between Algiers and Abuja, scheduled to begin on April 6, 2025. This new service is expected to enhance diplomatic and economic relations between Nigeria and Algeria.

According to a statement by Kimiebi Ebienfa, the Acting Spokesperson for the Ministry, the direct flight route is a result of the Bilateral Air Services Agreement between the two countries. Operated by Air Algérie, the service will utilize a Boeing 737 aircraft….READ MORE….

The introduction of this route is anticipated to significantly improve connectivity, promote tourism, and stimulate trade and investment between both nations.

In its statement, the Ministry expressed satisfaction with the launch of this historic flight service, recognizing it as a major milestone in the evolving relationship between Nigeria and Algeria. The ministry also acknowledged the vital role played by the Nigerian Embassy in Algiers in facilitating this achievement.

The inaugural flight will carry the Charge d’Affaires of the Nigerian Embassy in Algiers, leaders from the Nigerian community, and representatives from the Algerian government.

The Federal Government has congratulated Air Algérie and pledged full support to ensure the successful operation of the new service.
