According to Ireporter Online, Tumininu, wife of Big Brother Naija star Angel Smith, has publicly addressed the controversy surrounding their troubled marriage, offering her own account of events leading to their separation. In a detailed statement, she claimed she played a significant role in Angel’s relocation to the United States, including covering visa expenses and initiating the move. She also stated that she was transparent about her past relationship before Angel’s arrival and spent months providing full financial and domestic support in an effort to build their life together.

Tumininu alleged that despite her efforts, the relationship began to deteriorate as Angel frequently went out with new acquaintances, including individuals met online, while still relying on her financially. She further claimed that Angel’s behaviour became increasingly concerning, prompting her to involve family members at certain points due to escalating issues and alleged reckless conduct. According to her, attempts to set boundaries and address the situation were unsuccessful, with the relationship continuing to worsen within a short period.

She also stated that concerns over Angel’s associations and lifestyle choices added to the strain, despite repeated efforts to resolve their differences. Tumininu said she ultimately reached her breaking point and proceeded with divorce papers after what she described as persistent instability in the marriage. She added that she has now stepped away from the relationship entirely and no longer wishes to be responsible for Angel’s affairs moving forward. She further clarified that no personal belongings were taken, noting that some items remain with her while others were relocated, and claimed she had attempted private resolution, including an apology during moments of frustration, but said cooperation was not forthcoming.
