Angela Okorie Is Free! Management Denies Rearrest Rumors

According to Ireporter Online, the management of Nollywood actress and singer Angela Okorie has clarified that she has not been rearrested following her release from Suleja Correctional Centre.

In a statement issued on February 3, 2026, The Moving Train Entertainment, which represents the actress, confirmed that Okorie is currently free and that all her bail conditions have been fully met and finalized.

The management described recent reports of her rearrest as inaccurate and misleading, urging the public to rely solely on verified and credible sources for information.

“It has come to our attention that certain blogs have reported the re-arrest of singer and actress Angela Okorie. The management hereby clarifies that she is currently free and has not been re-arrested. Her bail conditions have been met and finalized. These reports are inaccurate and misleading. We advise the public to rely only on verified sources for information regarding this matter,” the statement read.

Angela Okorie was initially arrested on January 26, 2026, in Lagos and later transferred to Abuja to face allegations of cyberstalking and cyberbullying following a petition reportedly filed by fellow actress Mercy Johnson Okojie.

A prominent figure in Nollywood, Okorie began her acting career in 2009 and has since starred in over 80 films, earning recognition for her versatility and bold performances in both acting and music.
