Another monarch in Oyo state, Oba Gabriel Adepoju, has joined his ancestors.

The monarch, who was until his death the Oloko of Oko Ile, joined the ancestors on Sunday.

Oko Ile is one of the towns in Oriire Local Government Area of the state.

It was learnt that the monarch joined his ancestors in the early hours of Sunday at the age of 85.

The monarch, it was gathered ascended the throne in 1997.

His death is coming after the death of no fewer than three prominent monarchs in the state.

No fewer than three prominent monarchs in Oyo state had died in the last six weeks.
