APC Congress: Group Harp On Quality Leadership Says Saliu Mustapha Remains The Way Forward
A pro-democracy group under the aegis of Middle Belt Forum For Progressive Change, MBFPC has endorsed the Turaki of Ilorin and former Deputy National Chairman of the CPC, Mallam Saliu Mustapha for the position of National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
A press statement made available to journalists on Thursday afternoon in Niger State by the National Administrator of the group, Comrade Abubakar Ishaku described Mallam Saliu Mustapha as the ideal candidate possessing the requisite leadership qaulities to reposition the party for greater success.
“Leadership is typically defined by the traits, qualities and behaviours of a leader. Mallam Saliu Mustapha has exhibited the right leadership attributes that the APC needs to attain more success in the coming general elections.
At these challenging times, we need a visionary leader who shares the common vision and ideologies of party members. A leader who is ready to design a reward system for all stakeholders to foster creativity and innovation.
Saliu is a strategic leader who is better positioned to motivate party members for optimal performance.
After extensive consultations with party stakeholders, pressure groups, youth associations and various women interest groups in the Middle Belt we have decided to throw our unalloyed support for the aspiration of Mallam Saliu Mustapha as the next national chairman of our great party, the APC.”
According to Comrade Abubakar Ishaku, the group rose from its meeting held in Niger State and unanimously rated the former Deputy National Chairman of the CPC as the most qualified and fit to run for the highest position in the APC. The group described him as the way forward for the APC.
Politically, Mallam Saliu Mustapha is a force to reckon with in the political firmament of Kwara State where he hails from, he is the founder and chairman of the Saliu Mustapha Foundation which spends hundreds of millions yearly in humanitarian services.
