APC Opens Fresh Membership Drive Ahead Of 2027 Elections
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the resumption of its membership registration and validation exercise as the ruling party intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections.
According to information monitored by Ireporter Online, the exercise will commence nationwide on August 31, 2026, with prospective and existing members expected to participate at ward level across the country.
The APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, disclosed the development in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday.
Morka explained that new members must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN) to qualify for registration.
Existing members of the party will also be required to validate their membership details as part of efforts to update and digitise the APC’s membership database.
The party urged its members, supporters and prospective members to take advantage of the exercise and participate regardless of their previous membership status.
According to Morka, the electronic registration system is intended to create a more accurate and reliable membership register while improving the party’s ability to access membership data for planning and decision-making.
He added that the initiative would strengthen internal democracy and advance the APC’s adoption of technology in political administration.
Morka said the exercise was designed to digitise the party’s membership records, improve data integrity, facilitate efficient access to information and support democratic innovation within the party.
