Apply Now To Relocate: As Canada Wants To Welcome Over 500,000 Nigerians In 2022

Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will once again resume Express Entry invitations through the Federal Skilled Worker (FSWP) and Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) this July. After placing the program on hold during the pandemic to clear out backlogs, Canada’s immigration minister  Sean Fraser announced the department will begin issuing invitations and endeavour to process invitees’  applications starting this summer within a 6-month period.

This announcement couldn’t come soon enough as there are currently over 800,000 job vacancies looking to be filled according to Statistics Canada reports. Employers need more immigrant talent to help address their worker shortages, this will be crucial to supporting Canada’s post-pandemic economic recovery.

Anyone considering applying to this particular program should begin organizing and preparing their profile requirements now, as it can take some time to acquire all of the necessary documentation such as IELTS  language results and Educational Credential Assessments. Preparing your Express Entry profile ahead of  July’s first draw will also give you an opportunity to participate in the Provincial Nomination Programs bi-weekly draws. PNP pool draws are an excellent way to gain a permanent residence invitation. Things to consider when organizing:

• Language Test Scores
• Educational Credential Assessment
• NOC code identification in categories O-Managerial, A-Professional, B-Skilled Trades certificate of  qualification
• Primary work experience within the last 5 years in the above job groups
• Along with Proof of Funds
• Additional Adaptability requirements
