Archbishop Idahosa’s Legacy Lives On As BIU Inducts Hon Esosa Iyawe Into Honor Roll

Benson Idahosa University (BIU) has honoured Hon. Engr. Esosa Iyawe FNSE, Member representing Oredo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, with induction into its prestigious Alumni Honor Roll. The colourful ceremony took place on September 20, 2025, at the university’s Legacy Campus, where Iyawe was celebrated alongside two other distinguished alumni.

The recognition sparked fond memories for the lawmaker, who graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering at BIU. He recalled the university as not only a citadel of learning but also a place that instilled discipline, innovation, and enduring values—qualities that have continued to guide his professional and political journey.

Speaking after the event, Iyawe dedicated the honour to the visionary legacy of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, founder of the university, whose mission to establish a world-class tertiary institution has transformed countless lives across Nigeria and beyond.
