Addressing the officers at the Maxwell Khobe Cantonment venue in Jos Plateau, Aligbe, who serves as the Examination President, emphasized the army’s staunch stance against exam malpractice. He underscored that any such misconduct would result in severe consequences, potentially derailing their advancement within the Nigerian army.
This caution was reiterated in a statement issued on Tuesday by Lt.-Col. Sani Uba, the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations.
Aligbe stressed that the examination forms part of a series of professional military education programs aimed at enhancing candidates’ proficiency and leadership capabilities. He urged them to uphold the army’s core values, emphasizing that the exam would assess not only their knowledge but also their discipline and courage, crucial aspects shaping their career trajectory within the army.
Furthermore, Aligbe highlighted the alignment of the examination with the command philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, aimed at transforming the Nigerian Army into a highly skilled, equipped, and motivated force capable of fulfilling its constitutional obligations effectively.
Assuring fairness and transparency in the examination process, Aligbe emphasized that the panelists and directing staff would conduct the examination with integrity.
Meanwhile, Maj.-Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3 Division and Commander of the Special Task Force Operation Safe Haven, stressed the importance of maintaining decorum and discipline during the examination. He emphasized that the examination serves as a catalyst for career progression, enhancing participants’ understanding of various military operations and ultimately contributing to their performance in ongoing operations nationwide.
