Asake Credits Wizkid As Major Inspiration In His Music Journey
Afrobeats sensation Asake has revealed that Grammy-winning artist Wizkid is a significant influence on his music.
This admission comes as Asake’s third studio album, “Lungu Boy,” features a highly anticipated collaboration with Wizkid on the track “MMS” (Mr Money Sound).
Asake expressed enthusiasm for working with Wizkid, citing him as a musical inspiration since his early days as an aspiring artist in Lagos.
He wrote: “It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artiste in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for that right song so when the opportunity came it was a no brainer.
“‘MMS’ stands for ‘Mr Money Sound’ and it explains my music journey.”
