Bandits’ Informants Apprehended In Kaduna Market

The suspect was apprehended while attempting to sell a stolen cow at the village market, a move that drew the attention of local security personnel.

Ahmadu Sajo, a resident of Azzara, played a crucial role in the suspect’s capture by alerting the security operatives about Dan Abba’s presence at the market square.

Dan Abba is believed to have connections with bandits responsible for various criminal activities, including the abduction of herders and the theft of their cattle across different areas, such as Kuchimi, Haying-Dam, and the Gidan-Makeri region of Kagarko town.

According to reports, the suspect had been on the run, evading capture by the troops in the vicinity. However, luck ran out for him last Thursday when he was apprehended at the village market while in possession of a stolen cow.

Upon his arrest, the suspect, along with the stolen cow, was handed over to the troops. The vigilantes remain actively engaged in efforts to track down the whereabouts of other stolen cows linked to the suspect.

Ahmadu Sajo expressed suspicion that the cow brought to the market by the suspect might be among those stolen two weeks prior in a village in Kagarko LGA.

While the state police command is yet to issue an official statement regarding the development, the apprehension of the suspected informant marks a significant breakthrough in efforts to curb banditry and related crimes in the region.
