Additionally, women and children were abducted during the raid.
According to Bello Usman, a resident of the community, the bandits invaded the area and unleashed gunfire indiscriminately. The exact number of abducted women and children has yet to be determined, as authorities are currently compiling figures.
This incident follows a recent attack on the same Sabon Garin community, where gunmen kidnapped women from the family of a commercial transporter. These victims remain in captivity since the previous abduction.
The attack occurred shortly after a severe invasion of Sakajiki community, where numerous casualties were reported and many residents displaced.
In response to the ongoing insecurity, residents of Sabon Garin Kaura staged a protest on Wednesday, blocking the road to Gusau and igniting fires to express their frustration. The Emir of Kaura Namoda eventually intervened, urging residents to allow innocent commuters to continue their daily activities. He assured them that the emirate would maintain dialogue with the government to restore peace in the state.
As of now, the Zamfara State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the latest incident.
