Commission (RMFAC) to inspect the progress at the Kolmani Oil Field, Jatau assured that the state government would offer the necessary support to ensure the effective operation of construction firms working on the project.

He further emphasized that Bauchi would collaborate closely with the Federal Government, particularly the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), to ensure the successful development of the Kolmani Integrated Oil Field, which will contribute to the economic growth of the state, neighboring regions, and the country as a whole.

“We’ve assured the federal government and all stakeholders, including companies and multilateral organizations, of our full support, whether it’s in terms of security, infrastructure, or logistics,” said Jatau. He highlighted that the Bauchi government has backed the project since its inception and remains committed to its successful completion.

Meanwhile, Engr. Hassan Mahmoud, Acting Chairman of the RMFAC Crude Oil Committee, underscored the potential of the Kolmani oil deposits to significantly boost national revenue. However, he also expressed concern over the delays in the full-scale extraction of crude oil, despite the field’s inauguration several years ago.
