Billionaire Jowizaza’s Father Reportedly Abducted In Anambra

Nigerian billionaire businessman and founder of Jezco Oil and Jezco Group, Sir Joseph Ezeokafor, has reportedly been abducted in Anambra State.

According to IREPORTERONLINE, Ezeokafor, who is also the father of Nigerian social media personality Jowizaza, was allegedly kidnapped while praying alone on a mountain in Awka, the state capital.

The incident was brought to public attention on Sunday by lawyer Chukwudi Iwuchukwu in a social media post.

Iwuchukwu alleged that the businessman had gone to the mountain for prayers without his usual security personnel and police officers attached to him.

He claimed that unidentified gunmen approached Ezeokafor during the prayer session and took him away to an undisclosed location.

The reported abduction has raised concerns among members of Ezeokafor’s family, associates and residents of Ekwulobia, his hometown in Anambra State.

The lawyer further claimed that the development had affected preparations for the community’s annual New Yam Festival, which was reportedly postponed following the incident.

According to the account, the festival had never previously been postponed, but community leaders and residents decided to suspend the celebration while the businessman’s family dealt with the reported abduction.

Ezeokafor is regarded as one of the prominent businessmen from Ekwulobia and has built a reputation through his involvement in the oil and business sectors.

However, details surrounding the reported incident remain unclear, including the identity of the suspected abductors, the businessman’s current whereabouts and the circumstances surrounding his alleged disappearance.

As of the time of filing this report, there was no confirmed information on whether the suspected kidnappers had contacted the family or issued any ransom demand.
