The latest foreign exchange figures obtained by Ireporter Online indicate that the Nigerian naira continued trading against the United States dollar in the parallel market, commonly known as the black market or Aboki FX.

Market sources from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos revealed that, as of Sunday, July 26, 2026, the US dollar was sold at ₦1,410 and bought at ₦1,401 in the parallel market.

The report further noted that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognise transactions carried out in the black market. The apex bank has consistently advised individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange to conduct their transactions through authorised commercial banks and other approved financial institutions.

Meanwhile, official CBN data showed that the dollar traded within a range of ₦1,359 to ₦1,365 in the official foreign exchange market during the same period.
