Caught on video, the unsettling scene unfolded as Nunes brought her uncle’s body into the bank, purportedly in an attempt to obtain financing for a loan totaling $3,400. Despite the deceased state of her uncle, Nunes was observed trying to coerce him into signing paperwork, speaking to him as if he were alive, and manipulating his hand in a futile attempt to mimic a signature.

Bank employees, rightfully skeptical of the situation, promptly alerted the authorities, leading to Nunes’ arrest. Further investigation revealed that the deceased, Paulo Roberto Braga, had been dead for several hours before being brought to the bank on April 16.

Authorities are considering charging Nunes with theft through fraud, embezzlement, and abuse of a corpse. Additionally, they are probing into the circumstances surrounding Braga’s death and whether other family members were complicit in the disturbing incident.
