Breaking: Army Nabs Top Bandits And Terrorist Mastermind In Taraba Swoop Troops from the Nigerian Army’s 6 Brigade and Sector 3 of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have arrested three individuals suspected of involvement in multiple criminal activities in Taraba State.
The suspects, identified as Adamu Abubakar, Mohammed Bello, and Musa Adamu, were apprehended on October 7, 2024, in Andamin village, located in the Karim Lamido Local Government Area (LGA).
In a separate operation in Lau LGA, the troops also arrested a key logistics supplier, Musa Inusa, who is believed to be working with a notorious terrorist group in the area.
According to a statement by the Brigade’s Acting Spokesperson, Captain Oni Olubodunde, the special operation in Andamin, near the border between Taraba and Plateau States, successfully led to the capture of the suspected bandits.
Musa Inusa, arrested in Lau, is suspected of providing essential supplies and materials to terrorists, which could significantly weaken the group’s operational abilities.
Items recovered during the operation included a jackknife, N2,460 in cash, suspected Indian hemp, and other illicit drugs. The arrest of Inusa is seen as a critical move to disrupt the supply chain of terrorist groups in the area.
