BREAKING: DSS Identifies Ring Leaders Planning To ‘Stage Violent Protests’
The Department of State Services (DSS) has revealed that it has discovered plans by certain groups in different parts of the country to organize violent protests, aiming to discredit the Federal Government and security agencies over various socio-economic issues.
The agency, through its spokesman Peter Afunanya, issued a statement on Monday, stating that it has identified the ring leaders of this plot.
According to the statement, the plotters include certain politicians who are attempting to mobilize various groups, including student leaders, ethnic-based associations, youth, and disgruntled factions, to participate in these protests.
The DSS has pledged to closely monitor these individuals and take appropriate measures to prevent any actions that could lead to instability in the country.
In response to these developments, the DSS has called on heads of tertiary institutions and vice-chancellors of universities to discourage their students from participating in activities that may disrupt public peace. Parents and guardians have also been urged to counsel their children and wards against engaging in unlawful behavior or actions that may harm law and order.
The DSS emphasized that the government is actively working to address the nation’s challenges and urged those attempting to subvert national security to reconsider their actions. It warned that legal action would be taken against individuals and groups involved in these deceptive schemes.
