BREAKING: Former First Lady Dies In Nigeria
Ladi Bako, the wife of Kano State’s first governor, Audu Bako, passed away at the age of 93.
Her daughter, Zainab Bako, confirmed her mother’s death on Wednesday, saying she died at Kano’s Prime Specialist Hospital after a long illness.

Her funeral will be held at Kano’s Emir’s Palace in Kofar Kudu.
From May 1967 to July 1975, her husband served as military governor of the old Kano State.
He instituted numerous reforms and established institutions throughout the state.
