BREAKING: Govt Approves 14 Days Christmas Holiday For Civil Servants

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River has granted a 14-day Christmas holiday for all civil servants in the state, starting from December 20.

The exemption from this holiday applies to those providing essential services, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Ogbeche, released in Calabar on Wednesday.

In the statement titled “Extended Holiday for Civil Servants,” Otu commended the workers for their commitment and hard work.

The governor encouraged the workers to utilize the opportunity to spend quality time with their families and actively participate in the annual Calabar carnival.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing a quality and conducive environment for all citizens and residents of the state, while extending wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Workers are expected to return to their duty posts on January 3, 2024.
