BREAKING: Gumi Is Dead
Aishatu-Dammu Gumi, the mother of Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a well-known Islamic cleric, died at the age of 84.
Her son, Usman Gumi, confirmed her death on Sunday, saying she died at the Federal Medical Center, FMC Abuja.

She was survived by 11 children and numerous grandchildren.
Her funeral would be held on Monday at the family’s Modibbo Adama residence in Kaduna, he said.
The late matriarch was a scion of the founder of the Sokoto Caliphate, Usmanu Danfodio, and one of the wives of a famous Sunni cleric, Sheikh Abubakar Gumi.
