BREAKING: If Obi Was Better, Nigerians Would Have Voted Him – Wike Makes Fresh Revelation

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), asserted that if Peter Obi, the flag bearer of the Labour Party (LP), had been a more formidable candidate, Nigerians would have chosen him in the February 25, 2023 election.

Wike, in an exclusive interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today program on Wednesday, revealed that he had supported the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the standard bearer of his own party, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, in the highly contested election.

When asked about whether Peter Obi could have addressed the significant challenges facing the Nigerian economy more effectively than Tinubu had he been elected, Wike stated that he no longer discusses matters related to presidential candidates.

“I choose not to engage in discussions about social media topics,” stated the FCT Minister. “I no longer partake in conversations about presidential candidates; my focus is on the economy and the President’s agenda.”

He further added “If he (Obi) would have been better, Nigerians would have voted for him.”
