[BREAKING] Rivers Crisis: Fubara Breaks Silence After Abuja Meeting

Governor Fubara affirmed that achieving peace in Rivers State is worth any cost, emphasizing the importance of unity and stability for the overall development of the region.

His commitment to peace was underscored in the context of the recent peace agreement reached in Abuja, where key stakeholders, including himself, committed to an eight-point agreement to resolve the longstanding political crisis in the state.

Fubara made these remarks during the 3rd Convocation and 6th Founders Day ceremonies of PAMO University of Medical Sciences in Iriebe Town, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, on Tuesday, December 19.

He said: “There is no price that will be too big to pay to ensure that peace prevails.”

Fubara reiterated his readiness to pay any necessary price to ensure enduring peace in Rivers State.

Additionally, he affirmed the continued commitment of his administration to prioritize the provision of quality education and accessible public healthcare services for the people of the state.

The governor said: “While some progress has been made, it is obvious that a lot still needs to be done to achieve our collective aspirations for universal access to quality education and healthcare for our people. I need not say that no society can progress without educated and healthy people.”
