BREAKING: Suicide Bomber Strikes Interior Ministry Headquarters (DETAILS)

A suicide bomber targeted the Interior Ministry headquarters in the Turkish capital Ankara, as reported by local authorities.
The incident, which took place on Sunday morning, was identified as an attempted terrorist attack.
Two individuals were involved, with one detonating an explosive device while the other was neutralized by security forces, according to the Interior Ministry. Two police officers sustained injuries during the incident.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan responded to the attack by stating that “terrorists” will never succeed in undermining peace and security in Turkey.
He made this statement on Sunday as the Turkish parliament began its new legislative year.
Images from Ankara depict armored vehicles deployed in the streets, accompanied by a significant presence of armed police officers and soldiers. One photo shows what appears to be a discarded man-portable rocket launcher.
The attack occurred on the day when Turkey’s parliament was scheduled to resume sessions after the summer recess. Reports indicate that the session will proceed as planned.
In November of the previous year, an explosion rocked a bustling pedestrian area in Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city.
The blast resulted in the deaths of eight individuals, including two children, and left 80 others injured.
Turkish authorities attributed the attack to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and the Syrian Kurdish militia YPG.
The PKK denied any involvement.
