Ringing the closing bell signifies the conclusion of a trading session for a given day.
In an announcement on Monday, the US Chamber of Commerce revealed that the bell-ringing ceremony with Tinubu will coincide with the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The organization emphasized that this ceremony “serves as a symbolic representation of the strong economic ties between the United States and Nigeria”.
This event will occur at the NASDAQ headquarters in New York.
“We anticipate that this celebration, along with the discussions during the U.S.-Nigeria Executive Business Dialogue, will further bolster economic connections and foster collaboration between the U.S. and Nigerian business communities,” the statement stated.
The US Chamber of Commerce stands as the largest global business organization, representing companies of all scales spanning every sector of the economy. Its membership encompasses a spectrum, ranging from small businesses and local chambers of commerce to major industry associations and large corporations.
