The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of the next phase of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, with shortlisted applicants set to proceed to physical screening and document verification.

According to Ireporter Online, the board disclosed the development in a statement signed by its Secretary, Maj Gen Abdulmalik Jibril (retd.), on Friday.

Applicants who participated in the recruitment process have been directed to check their status through the official CDCFIB recruitment portal using the application number issued during registration.

Those who have been shortlisted will be required to upload their credentials and choose a convenient date and venue for the physical screening exercise.

The board urged candidates to carefully follow all instructions displayed on the recruitment portal to avoid mistakes or disqualification during the screening process.

The recruitment exercise covers four paramilitary organisations: the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigerian Correctional Service and Federal Fire Service.

CDCFIB also issued a warning against fraudulent individuals attempting to exploit applicants by promising to influence the recruitment process.

The board stressed that candidates should not give money to anyone claiming to have the ability to secure shortlisting, facilitate document uploads, allocate screening venues, grant access to screening centres or guarantee final selection.

Applicants were further advised to ignore suspicious recruitment messages, unofficial links and individuals falsely presenting themselves as officials or representatives of the board.

The recruitment process initially commenced with online applications in July 2025, followed by a Computer-Based Test conducted in November 2025.

Candidates who successfully progressed through the earlier stages are now expected to complete the physical screening and document verification requirements as directed by the board.
