Celebrating Hon Romeo Omoike’s 50th: Senator Akpakomiza Extols Edo’s Exemplary Son
The Senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District, Edo State, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo popularly known as Akpakomiza, has felicitated with Hon. Romeo Aloaye Omoike on the occasion of his 50th birthday anniversary.
The Senator in a congratulatory message on Tuesday in Abuja, described Hon. Romeo Omoike, popularly referred to by his sobriquet “Mr White,” as an ebullient and amiable detribalized illustrious Edo son with giant heart for the growth and development of Edo State cum Nigeria.
Senator Akpakomiza stated that at 50, Hon Romeo Aloaye Omoike has excelled in his political and business interests with enviable and admirable candor, adding that those who knew Romeo and have been following his steady rise in the Nigerian sociopolitical sphere will attest to the fact that indeed, he’s one of the rare men that God has bestowed his special favour and grace upon.
The Senator noted that Hon Omoike, is one man, who does not look back once he puts his hands on the plough. He further noted that this unique attribute was demonstrated abundantly by Hon Romeo in the discharge of his duty through careful initiation and implementation of policies and programs that helped to revitalize the Petroleum sector in Edo State when he was initially appointed as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on Petroleum in 2008.
According to the Senator, Romeo’s commendable performance as SSA on Petroleum precipitated his reappointment as the Executive Director/Board Chairman of the Produce Board, a position he held earnestly until 2012. Continuing, the Senator asserted that Hon Romeo’s foray into the business world after leaving office has paid off, and today he serves as the Chairman and CEO of Aloaye Global Services Ltd and RAO Evolution Ltd, two successful reputable homegrown companies that has given young Nigerians opportunities to learn, acquire experience and showcase their prowess in the world of business.
Distinguished Senator Akpakomiza futher sieze the 50th birthday anniversary occasion to copiously acknowledge Romeo’s demonstrable humanitarian gestures and profound love that drove him to initiate the provision of portable water for the renowned Itseoghena Orphanage Home in Iyeku Road, Uzairue, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, and his bolster for Education in Etsako, which have served as academic support system to numerous students.
As Hon. Romeo Aloaye Omoike marks his golden age, Senator Akpakomiza prays that the Almighty God will continue to protect and keep him in sound health for enhanced positive impacts on the land and people of Edo State and Nigeria.
