In a major move to ease fuel costs, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a price reduction for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from ₦890 per litre to ₦825 per litre.

To ensure customers who previously purchased fuel at higher rates are not disadvantaged, the refinery has committed to refunding ₦65 per litre on over 200,000 metric tonnes of PMS, incurring a ₦16 billion loss to support economic stability.

Dangote Refinery has also issued a stern warning to fuel marketers to ensure that the price reduction is fully implemented and that consumers benefit from the lower rates, discouraging hoarding or price inflation.
