Over the weekend, the dynamic lawmaker inspected the Legacy Project he facilitated at Our Lady’s of Lourdes Girls’ Grammar School, Uromi, under the auspices of the National Senior Secondary Education Commission (NSSEC). According to him, the project — now about 95% complete — represents a promise kept and a dream realized for the future of young girls in the region.

The initiative includes:
✅ Construction, furnishing, and equipping of state-of-the-art Science and ICT buildings
✅ Renovation and furnishing of two blocks of seven classrooms each
✅ Installation of 3 Nos 10KVA inverter systems for uninterrupted power
✅ Provision of borehole and overhead tank for clean water supply
✅ Deployment of solar streetlights for campus illumination
✅ Construction of gatehouse, gate, and erosion control works

Speaking with deep emotion, Hon. Okojie reflected on the motivation behind his intervention:

“My drive for this project comes from reflecting on my childhood and the remarkable impact this institution has had on countless girls who passed through its gates — many of whom are now pillars of society.”

As the Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Midstream), Okojie has consistently leveraged his influence to attract transformative projects to his constituency. His latest intervention at Our Lady’s of Lourdes stands as a testament to his enduring commitment to education, empowerment, and sustainable development.

Citizens have described the project as “a legacy of compassion and foresight,” reaffirming their faith that with leaders like Prince Henry Okojie, the Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan — it’s a living reality in Edo State.

“This is the kind of representation we voted for — a leader who builds futures, not just promises.” one resident remarked with joy.

Indeed, as the classrooms light up and the laboratories take shape, Uromi is witnessing more than construction — it’s witnessing the rebirth of dreams.
