In the video, the men, identifying themselves as content creators rather than internet fraudsters, expressed concerns over the masked individuals. One masked man fired a warning shot, while another scaled the fence to gain entry.

Although Edafe confirmed that the use of masks by police officers is prohibited, he emphasized that it is unlawful to block officers’ access to or exit from any building.

“Wearing a mask as a policeman is a red flag and is not permitted in policing. However, locking the police outside or inside is also an offense,” Edafe explained.

He further questioned the group’s insistence on their innocence of internet fraud allegations, noting that no such accusations had been made by the officers involved.

“That incident cannot be justified simply because the policemen were masked. We are awaiting more details to identify where it occurred for a proper investigation,” Edafe stated.

He added, “But why did they proclaim they are not yahoo boys but content creators, even though the police never accused them? Just curious.”
