“Davido Collaboration Was A Major Turning Point In My Career” —  Boypee

Afrosoul artist Sopuru Precious, known as Boypee, has stated that collaborating with pop star David Adeleke, better known as Davido, on the remix of his hit song “Ogechi” marked a pivotal moment in his career.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, Boypee highlighted how Davido’s global influence and Tekno’s distinctive sound have significantly shaped his artistic direction. He expressed admiration for both artists’ ability to resonate with audiences worldwide and shared his aspiration to achieve a similar impact through his music.

Recalling how he met Davido, Boypee explained, “The connection with Davido was facilitated by the well-known socialite, Cubana Chief Priest, who has been a major supporter of my musical journey. His belief in my talent and introduction to Davido have opened new doors for me, showcasing my growing influence and the industry’s acknowledgment of my potential.”
