DJ Switch Arrested In Lagos

According to a police source, DJ Switch visited the police in Elemoro, Ajah, on Monday, April 15, to report a man who allegedly defrauded her. The man was subsequently arrested. DJ Switch was then invited on Wednesday, April 17, to discuss whether the accused should be charged to court or released on bail, as detaining an accused for more than 48 hours is against the law.

Allegedly, DJ Switch insisted the accused should apologize, which would be recorded and shared online, but the man refused. Consequently, the police decided to take the matter to court since both parties did not agree.

The police source claimed that while officers were about to drive out with the accused to court, DJ Switch used her vehicle to block the entrance of the station and allegedly assaulted the female officers involved in the case. As a result, she was arrested for obstructing police duty, resisting arrest, and assaulting police officers.

The accused was taken to court and remanded in prison custody.
