Dollar To Naira Today: April 24, 2026 Exchange Rate Update
The Dollar to Naira exchange rate in the parallel market, also known as the black market or Aboki FX, recorded mixed trading figures on Thursday, April 23, 2026. According to market sources from Bureau De Change operators in Lagos, the US dollar was sold at ₦1,400 while buying was pegged at ₦1,390.
In contrast, official figures from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed a lower exchange range, with the dollar trading between ₦1,350 and ₦1,355. However, the apex bank has repeatedly maintained that it does not recognize transactions conducted in the parallel market and has advised individuals and businesses to conduct foreign exchange through authorized financial institutions.
Market fluctuations continue to reflect the ongoing pressure on the naira, as traders note that rates may differ depending on location, demand, and supply conditions across different forex dealers.
