Don’t Ever Say I’m Shouting!” — MamaPee Opens Up On Nigeria’s Daily Struggles
According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian activist MamaPee has openly addressed the daily struggles faced by citizens across the country, highlighting challenges such as poor healthcare, persistent strikes, and systemic inefficiencies. She expressed frustration at those who dismiss her outspoken criticism as “shouting,” insisting that her remarks reflect real experiences of hardship and injustice.
MamaPee recounted the difficulties Nigerians encounter, including limited access to doctors, insufficient funds for essential medication, and the dire consequences these gaps create for vulnerable populations. “If you never go to the hospital and you don’t have money to pay for drugs, and there’s no doctor to attend to you because they are on strike… don’t tell me I’m shouting. You don’t know how it feels to be in a system that does not work,” she said.
She further revealed that she has blocked 5,000 social media users who unfairly criticized her for speaking out, emphasizing that her intentions are not to seek pity but to draw attention to the widespread suffering among Nigerians.
On political activism, MamaPee clarified that her support for Peter Obi stems from conviction rather than obligation, stating, “Peter Obi is my hope.”
Social media reactions to her statements have been mixed, with some critics dismissing her as “shouting” while others debated her stance on politics and activism.
