Don’t Trust Men Who Talk Too Sweet – Adeboye Warns

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has advised women to exercise caution when dealing with men who employ excessive flattery, warning that such gestures may conceal ulterior motives. According to Ireporter Online, the respected cleric shared the counsel while recounting a personal experience from his younger years, admitting that he once relied on charming and poetic compliments to impress a woman.

He narrated that during the encounter, he showered the woman with praise about her physical features, describing her appearance in glowing terms. However, to his surprise, the woman abruptly turned and fled. Adeboye explained that he did not fully grasp her reaction at the time, noting that it was only after he became born again that he understood the deeper implication of her response.

The cleric emphasized that persistent compliments centered on a woman’s physical appearance should be treated as a warning sign, urging women to distance themselves from such advances rather than entertain them. He further stressed that such behavior often signals insincerity, encouraging vigilance and discernment in relationships.
