A viral video circulating on social media captured the horrifying scene at the Crocus City Hall, depicting the complex engulfed in flames and smoke, following the assault by gunmen dressed in camouflage.

Russian investigators have reported a death toll exceeding 60, with 145 individuals sustaining serious injuries in the tragic incident.

In response to the attack, Fani-Kayode, in a statement posted on his official X page on Saturday, described the assault as cowardly, horrific, and brutal. He extended heartfelt condolences to President Vladimir Putin and the people of Russia, expressing solidarity with them during this trying time.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government of Nigeria has also conveyed its sympathies to the Russian Federation in the wake of the devastating attack. Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, issued an official statement expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives and injuries sustained during the assault at the Crocus Concert Hall. The statement further affirmed Nigeria’s solidarity and support for Russia during this period of hardship, wishing swift recovery to those injured in the attack.
