At the official inauguration of EFCC Radio, 97.3 FM, in Abuja, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, and EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, reiterated their commitment to this cause.
Idris praised the EFCC’s relentless battle against economic and financial crimes, recognizing its undeniable impact on Nigerian society. He applauded the establishment of EFCC Radio as a crucial step in countering false narratives and biased portrayals of the commission’s activities.
Assuring increased support, Idris pledged collaboration in EFCC Radio’s operations and other commission endeavors.
Olukoyede reflected on the radio station’s journey, hailing its inauguration as a significant milestone. He emphasized the station’s role in combating false information, enabling the EFCC to communicate its narratives more effectively.
Senator Emmanuel Udende, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Anti-corruption and Financial Crimes, underscored corruption’s detrimental effects on Nigeria’s progress. Honourable Kayode Akinolu, Chairman of the House Committee on Financial Crimes, urged Nigerians to embrace EFCC Radio as their primary source of information, recognizing the vital role of public awareness in the fight against corruption.
