Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, Registrar-General and CEO of the CAC, revealed this groundbreaking initiative during the launch of the Moniepoint project at the Bank of Industry (BOI) in Abuja. Magaji underscored the CAC’s pivotal role in supporting the government’s economic revival plan through business registration.
Expressing enthusiasm over the collaboration with Moniepoint, Magaji highlighted the significance of developing the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector to drive Nigeria’s economic growth. The project aims to offer discounted rates, fostering an environment conducive to economic development.
Babatunde Olofin, representing Moniepoint, affirmed the company’s commitment to realizing this vision, aligning with the government’s economic revival agenda.
Dr. Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, lauded the event as a landmark achievement leveraging information technology to spur economic growth. She emphasized President Bola Tinubu’s eight-point agenda, prioritizing job creation, financial inclusion, poverty alleviation, and economic empowerment.
The minister reiterated the government’s unwavering support for the project, recognizing its potential to revolutionize the economy. With a focus on job creation and fostering a conducive business environment, this initiative marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s economic trajectory.
