Fulham boss Silva pledges Support For Nigeria In final

Iwobi and Bassey have been instrumental in Nigeria’s journey to the final of the tournament.

Midfielder Iwobi has participated in all six of Nigeria’s matches in the competition, while Bassey has made five appearances.

The Super Eagles are set to face hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final at the Alassanne Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan.

Silva admitted that he has felt the absence of the two players but affirmed his support for them to secure victory in the AFCON final.

“Undoubtedly, we have been closely following their progress. It’s been a significant period without two key players for us. Nonetheless, we stand firmly behind them as they compete in the final,” Silva stated during a press conference preceding Fulham’s encounter with Bournemouth.
