FULL LIST: Top 10 Emerging Nigerian Music Stars You Should Know
According to Ireporter Online, Nigeria’s music industry is witnessing a rapid transformation driven by a new wave of fast-rising artists who are gaining massive attention across TikTok, Spotify, and street playlists. The development highlights a shift in the industry, where emerging talents are increasingly shaping the future of Afrobeats, street pop, and Afro-fusion alongside established superstars.
Industry observers note that the Nigerian music space is no longer defined solely by established names, but also by discovery-driven success stories powered by social media virality, streaming platforms, and grassroots street influence. Many of today’s leading stars once started as unknown acts, a pattern now being repeated by a fresh generation of artists breaking into the mainstream at remarkable speed.
Among the most talked-about rising acts is Ayo Maff, born Ayorinde Mafoluku Ayodele, who gained widespread recognition with his hit single “Dealer” featuring Fireboy DML. His debut EP Maffian, released in August 2024, further strengthened his growing reputation in the industry.
Also making waves is Shoday, an Afrobeat singer signed to Canny Consults and 5K Records, a Sony Music UK subsidiary. He rose to prominence with “Caution” and achieved international chart success with “Paparazzi” featuring Fola, which performed strongly across Nigeria, the U.S., and the U.K. Afrobeats charts.
Fola, another fast-emerging talent, gained attention following his 2022 collaboration “Ginger Me” featuring Bella Shmurda. His 2024 EP What a Feeling under Dangbana Republik further established his presence in the industry.
TML Vibez, signed to Vibez Inc, has also continued to attract attention with popular tracks such as “Goated” featuring Seyi Vibez, “365,” and “Bandana.” His emotionally driven lyrics and street-inspired sound have positioned him as one of the most promising voices in the new generation.
Famous Pluto, signed to Plutomania Records, broke into mainstream recognition with his debut single “Na Scra” in 2025, followed by his extended play Uzama The 3rd, which expanded his growing fan base.
Llona, known for his introspective style and mental-health-inspired lyricism, gained prominence with his debut album Homeless, which charted on Nigeria’s TurnTable Top 100 Albums list.
Kaestyle, signed to KeyQaad, also continues to gain traction following the success of “My Dealer” featuring Omah Lay, alongside other popular releases such as “Stamina” and “True Love,” blending Afrobeats with R&B influences.
Rybeena has emerged as one of the standout street-pop voices, gaining nationwide attention with his viral track “ID. ME” and other releases such as “Agba Singing” and “Wise 2.0” featuring Olamide.
Muyeez, one of the youngest artists on the list, has quickly built momentum under Vibez Inc, with tracks like “Instagram” and “Jama Jama” earning him strong engagement across streaming platforms and social media.
Zerrydl completes the list of rising stars, gaining recognition since 2023 with his breakout single “Puff & Pass” and subsequent projects under Plutomania Records, which have further expanded his growing influence in the Nigerian music scene.
Collectively, these artists reflect the evolving structure of Nigeria’s entertainment industry, where digital platforms and youth-driven trends continue to redefine how new stars are discovered and propelled into mainstream success.
