Adding to the irony, South African artist Tyla claimed victory in the Afrobeats category, outshining Nigerian contenders.

Perhaps Burna Boy can take comfort in the familiarity of the Grammy landscape, as he’s become a fixture in the proceedings. His standout performance alongside Brandy and 21 Savage could potentially elevate his global profile, promising future accolades.

However, the same cannot be said for Davido, whose emotional investment in securing his first Grammy win was palpable. Among Nigeria’s top three artists—Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido—only Davido remains without a Grammy win. Despite his efforts, Davido’s aspirations fell short, leaving him still yearning for a taste of victory.
